Sad news on  E.Ford House Fire

The house fire on 164  E. Ford Ave in Barberton on December 31, 2019, involved two babies and a mother. The younger baby, Lavaigha ( 18 months old),  passed away from the fire recently. The mother and Grayson 30 months old, survive in the hospital. They are in critical condition.

The mother, Erin Brannon, is deathly afraid of house fires since she witnessed her family home burned down when she was a child. Yet, she ran into the burning home to save her children.

The home had three non- working smoke alarms. Barberton Fire Department gives away and installs smoke alarms for residents.
